Background: Michael serves as Director of Instructional and Information Technology for the School of Pharmacy. His current research focuses on development and evaluation of computer applications in pharmacy student education and practice. He is co-author of multiple educational applications in pharmacy practice. Pitterle has received several awards and honors, including the Award for Research from the ASHP Education and Research Foundation, the Joe Wyatt Challenge Success Story from EDUCOM, the Lyman Award from the AACP, and the President's Award from the WSHP. He is an active member of the AACP.
