Madison native Julie Jensen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in English (’93). She began her career in fundraising while working for the Florentine Opera Company, in Milwaukee, WI. After a move to California, Julie worked as the Director of Communications for Opera Pacific, where she helped secure corporate sponsors for each of the company’s productions. Following a move back to Madison, Julie worked as Managing Director for The Madison Repertory Theater where she was responsible for corporate sponsorship, major gift solicitations, and board recruitment and development. Most recently, Julie worked as Director of Development for Our Lady of Hope Clinic, which provides free primary medical care to the uninsured.
