Michele Gassman, MA

Researcher II


Michele has been a member of the Ford Research Group since 2020, where their research focuses on advancing dissemination and implementation strategies in behavioral health, long-term care, and community pharmacies. Current research projects focus on: 1) Implementation and Sustainment Facilitation, 2) Antibiotic Stewardship and in Long-Term Care, and 3) Community Pharmacy-based interventions to combat the opioid and fentanyl crisis in Wisconsin.

 

Michele has over 20 years of experience and expertise in conducting research including more than 15 years working in clinical research. While most of her professional career has been at UW-Madison, she also has several years of industry specific research experience. Michele brings expertise in human subject research and extensive project management skills to the interdisciplinary team.

Michele received a B.A. in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an M.A. in Conflict Resolution/ International Studies from the University of Denver.

Outside of work, Michele thoroughly enjoys being in nature and she is happiest when near water or in the mountains. When free time presents itself, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, reading, meditating, exercising, and mostly spending time with her family, who make her laugh on a daily basis.
