Te-Lien Ku, BPharm, MPH

Graduate Student


Te-Lien holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (2009) from Taipei Medical University, Taiwan. As a registered pharmacist with over ten years of experience in hospital and community pharmacy, he had extensive experience in patient education and was interested in research that focused on social ecological factors that affect patients' medication-related health behaviors.To this end, Te-Lien pursued a Master's degree in Public Health (2019) from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. Through this program, he developed and interest in patient-reported-outcome (PRO) measurement and psychometrics, especially in long-term care and family cargiving. His Master's thesis was titled "Reliability and Validity of Family Caregiver Medication Administration Hassle Scale-Chinese Version" and involved a cross-sectional questionnaire survey and psychometric tool development.

Te-Lien is a second-year PhD student in Health Services Research in Pharmacy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University in 2009 and his Master of Public Health from National Taiwan University in 2018. Before pursuing his graduate studies, Te-Lien was a licensed pharmacist in Taiwan with over 10 years of clinical experience in both hospital and community settings.

Te-Lien is a teaching assistant for S&A PHM 732-611, Pharmacy Law and Regulation, within the PharmD curriculum.

Te-Lien has worked as a teaching assistant for courses within the PharmD curriculum including:

  • S&A PHM 411, Pharmacy in the Health Care System (Fall 2023)
  • PHARMACY 608, Safety and Quality in the Medication Use System (Fall 2022)
