Clinical Practice: Hematology/oncology

Research Interests: Patient-decision making, roles/value of oncology pharmacist, cannabis

My research primarily focuses on team-based care delivery and barriers to effective use of anticancer treatment for individuals with cancer. This has including research and publications on

  • Role and documented value of the oncology pharmacist

  • Shared decision making about cancer-related treatment particularly in patients who have limited reasoning skills with mathematical concepts

Another focus of my current research is the development and integration of the US version of MyDispense, online pharmacy simulation program that allows learners to develop and practice their dispensing skills in a safe environment in which they may make mistakes without experiencing the serious consequences of practicing in the real world.
