Thomas S Thielke, MS, F.A.S.H.P., RPh

Clinical Professor


Background: Thomas is the former Director of Pharmacy at UW Hospital and Clinics, overseeing the home care pharmacy division, consulting pharmacy services, long term care pharmacy services, seven outpatient pharmacies, managed care pharmacy services, and all inpatient pharmacy services. He is coordinator of the MS/Residency Program for UWHC and the School of Pharmacy. His research interests include robotics and the automation of the pharmacy services, managed care programs, cost accounting systems, pharmacy productivity systems and cost-effective clinical services. He is past president of ASHP, WSHP, and is currently Chairman of the Board of PSW. He is also a fellow of ASHP and a past chairman of the association's House of Delegates. He has served as vice president of the hospital pharmacists section of the Federation of International Pharmacists and is currently the section's President. Professor Thielke has been twice honored as WSHP Pharmacist of the Year.
