  • Pharm-D Thesis: Assessment of Adverse drug reactions, drug-drug Interactions, and medication adherence outcomes among elderly HIV seropositive patients in comparison with young HIV seropositive patients undergoing highly active antiretroviral therapy. Under the guidance of Dr. R Rajesh.

  • Other research during PharmD: Retrospective Study on Clostridium difficile infections and Antimicrobial Induced Diarrhea in a Tertiary Care University Hospital. Under the guidance of Professor John Prashanth.

  • MS Thesis: Assessing Antibiotic Prescribing and Process workflow in assisted living facilities. Under the guidance of Dr. James H Ford II and Dr. Michel Chui.

  • Student Research Associate with Crnich Research Group, Department of Infectious diseases, UW-Madison: Contributed to collaborative, multi-institutional research, including data collection from nursing home medical records and entry into REDCap for an OHSU study aimed at optimizing antibiotic prescribing at discharge to long-term care facilities. Conducted qualitative coding and analysis in NVivo for a mixed-methods study examining factors influencing empiric antibiotic initiation for urinary tract infections in nursing home residents.

Deepthi graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, in 2019.

She moved to the USA in 2020, to pursue a master's and PhD in Health Services Research in Pharmacy. She defended her MS thesis in Dec of 2022.

Deepthi is currently a PhD candidate in Health Services Research in Pharmacy being advised by Dr. Betty Chewning.
