Background: Pamela is responsible for practice, education and research of the UW Hospital and Clinics pharmacy department, which includes the drug information center, poison control center, investigational drug services, specialty clinic pharmacy services and pharmacy practice across the integrated system. Her research interests focus on pharmacy workload and productivity, quality improvement, medication error prevention monitoring, and drug usage evaluation. She has served on the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and Wisconsin Internship Board, and she has been a member of a number of councils and task forces for the WSHP and the ASHP. Ploetz has also received the WSHP Pharmacist of the Year Award.
